Winterize that garden!

The best way to winterize your square foot garden is to cover the soil with a tarp. Mel would be proud that I found a good use for old show curtains! They fit a 4x4 perfectly! Covering your box will protect it and your soil. It will keep the nutrients from being washed out and diluted by rain and snow. Put your square foot gardening equipment away which includes all of a pair of scissors,a bucket and a spade!
